Dear Devotees, Well-Wishers, Friends of the Temple, and all those who contributed in various ways to making the New Chaithya Project a great success,

Last Saturday, we had the great pleasure of opening the magnificent new Chaithya and the Samadhi Buddha Statue to the public—the most significant project undertaken since the opening of the New Temple Building in 2012.

On behalf of the Halton Peel Buddhist Cultural Society, the West End Buddhist Temple and Meditation Centre, the Resident Monks, and the West End Dhamma School, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who contributed to the successful completion of the Chaithya Project. Your unwavering support, dedication, and generosity have brought this significant milestone to fruition, enriching our community and strengthening our shared spiritual journey.

To our donors: your financial contributions—including those through the sponsorship of Chaithya artefacts, the Golden Brick Wall Program, and direct donations—have been instrumental in turning our vision into reality. Your belief in our mission has provided the foundation for this sacred space, which will serve as a beacon of peace and mindfulness for generations to come.

To the Chaithya Project Committee, the Dayaka Sabha, and the hundreds of volunteers who came together to help: your countless hours of hard work—from planning and coordination to hands-on efforts—have been the heartbeat of this project. Your commitment reflects the true spirit of community and selflessness that lies at the core of our Buddhist values.

To our community members and supporters: your encouragement, participation in our programs, and shared enthusiasm have inspired us throughout this journey. Whether through attending our daily worship, meditation classes, or Sunday Dhamma School, your presence has reinforced the importance of this project as a space “Where Friendships Begin and Never End.”

The Chaithya Project stands as a testament to our collective efforts to foster spiritual growth, cultural preservation, and community unity. It is a place where all are welcome to practice mindfulness, engage in Buddhist teachings, and build connections that transcend generations. We are deeply honored to have you as part of this endeavor.

As we celebrate this achievement, we invite you to join us for upcoming programs at the West End Buddhist Temple and Meditation Centre, where we will continue to nurture our community through worship, meditation, and educational initiatives. Your continued support will help sustain our mission to provide spiritual guidance and cultural enrichment to the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.

May you all be well and happy!

With profound gratitude and blessings,

Venerable Kulugammana Dhammawasa Nayaka Thero -On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Halton Peel Buddhist Cultural Society, West End Buddhist Temple and Meditation Centre, the Resident Monks, and the West End Dhamma School
